Experiment with lithograph. I draw a picture on the stone surface then
I printed it. I printed the second layer after and I thought what if It became
a different picture. It already was a different one. It was just there laying in front of me a whole new 'world', which couldn't make 'one' with the previous picture. This new one wanted more space. These two together started to be
a series. Each of them is a part of something. Pure, independent fenomenom. Abstract and rebellious. These happened to become something
which could be worn.
The Rosa t-shirt has been made for Menza Restaurant in Budapest. It's been originally designed for a wine label on the bottle of a rose wine. After that came the idea that the character should be appearing as a print on t-shirts as well. The t-shirt is available in Menza restaurant (Budapest Liszt Ferenc tér 2.) or can be ordered in our webshop as well.
I created this lino-cut illustration during a scholarship in Ljubjana where I was working on illustrations and I was also illustrating poems. The original printout had appeared in several exhibitions which we still have got several prints of. We came up with the idea that we should transform this illustration to a form which possibly could be worn as well. The original artwork is a great favourite of us.
